Having married into the family business, I have worked in all areas until taking over as Managing Director in 2014. Coming from a technology background, I am particularly focused on the enhancement of our products to ensure we continue to lead the market.
With 3 young children my time for leisure is very limited, however, I do enjoy running and have completed several marathons with most of my training coming from chasing my children around!
17 years ago I was asked to join my father and brother in their new company and I relished the prospect of being part of such an exciting enterprise. I had worked in customer service for many years so was asked to manage this area of the business. During my time here I have seen the business expand but I have always ensured that customer service is a priority for the whole team.
In my spare time I like to spend time with my large family many of whom I work with, including my son Jamie and my son-in-law Tony Williams. I enjoy travelling and cycling having recently completed the London to Paris cycle ride.
I joined Comfort Plus Products 11 years ago after gaining sales experience in various industries with varying products. I particularly enjoy working within this sector as it allows me to introduce people to products that help them retain an independent life - either through offering comfort or from features that help relieve the debilitating symptoms of medical conditions that can affect their lives.
When I'm not busy with my 3 young boys I enjoy lots of hobbies particularly snooker and golf and play to a very high standard - or so I tell everyone!
I am 55 years old and have worked in various UK industries for almost 40 years. I founded Comfort Plus Products 18 years ago and am proud the company has progressed to become a leading supplier of mobility related products throughout the UK.
In my spare time I like to watch football and attempt to play golf.

Comfort Plus Products was founded in June 2000 by Brendan Deering Senior and and his son Brendan Deering Junior. Brendan Deering Snr had worked in the industry for many years and had built a reputation for excellent product knowledge and an unrivalled understanding of the needs of their customers. As a Managing Director of large multinational manufacturers and a qualified Management Accountant, Brendan Deering Jnr was able to utilise his father’s skills to establish a professional, efficient and well respected company.
Karen Deering, Brendan Jnr's sister, joined as Customer Service Manager and as a trained Samaritan she quickly became the friendly and empathic face of Comfort Plus Products.
In 2002 Comfort Plus Products moved to their current offices in Furmston Court, Letchworth combining both office and warehouse space for its day-to-day operations. In 2007 Brendan Deering Senior retired from the company leaving control to his son to oversee the continued growth of the company.
In April 2014 Brendan Deering Jnr retired from the business passing control to the 3 key individuals who have helped build a successful business. Brendan still offers advice to the new management team to help ensure the company's ethos of high quality and exceptional service is upheld to both a loyal and growing customer base.
