Electric Adjustable Beds | FAQ's

What is an adjustable bed?

An adjustable bed is a bed that can have its position changed using a handset connected to the bed. In its basic form an adjustable bed can have its leg section raised and its head section raised.

How does an adjustable bed help?

By having the head end raised it reduces the amount of pillows needed so reduces strain on the neck and gives better support on the back. Raising the head end is also excellent for those wishing to read in bed or even for anyone with severe breathing problems or heart conditions that need to sleep in more of a sitting position. The leg section can be raised to ease the symptoms of cramp, water retention and poor circulation. Many people also find that by raising the legs in bed also increases the comfort on the back.

How do your beds differ from others on the market?

We only sell a 5 point bed which offer better movement and so better support for the body, many of our competitors offer the 3 point bed which does not support the body as well and so reduces comfort. All of our beds are also hand made using beech wood, so ensuring strength and also reduces the noise associated with metal adjustable beds.

Why do you offer a lifetime guarantee when everyone else offers only a year?

We offer a lifetime guarantee because we sell a very high quality reliable product that does what it should!

How do I know if I will like an adjustable bed?

We always offer a home demonstration on our beds. We bring a bed along for you to try and explain in detail what the bed does and how it can help. We feel it is very important you try an adjustable bed before buying it and we prefer to work in this way to ensure you get a bed that is suitable. We also prefer you to have a friend or relative present when we do our demonstration and advise you to do this whenever inviting a company into your home.

What do I do with my old bed?

We can take it away free of charge. We offer them to a charity, however due to health and safety regulations we have to dispose of the mattress. If required we may be able to deliver your old bed to a friend or relative within a 5 mile radius providing they can accept delivery at our allotted time.

What about bed sheets?

You can use normal bed sheets, including the ones used on your old bed. If you have any problems Victoria Linen can provide you with anything you need.
