Hiatus Hernia

A Hiatus Hernia is caused when part of the stomach rises through a hole in the diaphragm into the chest.

The main symptoms of a Hiatus Hernis is heartburn caused by acid from the stomach passing into the gullet. This is a very uncomfortable problem which can also be increased by bending and lying down.
