People believe aging brings unhappiness

Despite numerous studies many people believe that happiness declines with age, a report with Reuters news discusses.

Many studies have shown that we actually get happier as we get older, but people believe the myth that we get unhappier as we get older. A group from the University of Michigan Medical School conducted tests and found that two groups of 31 and 68 years old thought that the average person would be less happier as they aged, but in fact the older group where in fact happier that the younger ones.

The report also discussed the theories behind why people may get happier as they get older and one theory may be that people focus less on achievement and more on personal relationships and enjoying life.
