Hope for new Parkinsons Therapy

Scientists have discovered a protein which may help to slow, or reverse symptoms of Parkinsons disease.

The disease destroys nerve cells that produce the brain chemical dopamine, causing movement and balance problems.

A group of Finnish researchers have found that this new molecule can prevent degeneration of the nerve cells and possible even help them to recover.

The research is still at a very early stage said the Parkinsons Disease Society, but it is a very interesting possibility.
