Adjustable beds 'can provide better sleep'

Adjustable beds can help people have a better night's sleep, it has been suggested.

According to the blog Jayasankaranasir, adjustable beds are a good option for individuals who struggle to get a good rest.

"Adjustable beds protect posture, provide support and enhance deep sleep and relaxation," it stated.

The comments came as Jessica Alexander, a spokesperson for the Sleep Council, recommended that people who struggle to sleep should try reducing stress, meditating and visualising a nice place or an old routine they liked in the past.

She also added that employers should take the lead in helping their staff get a good night's rest.

"Larger companies probably have more room to do this," she said. "You do see ideas like Indian head massages being used by some companies, but this is not so common."

Earlier this month, Travelodge revealed that 75 per cent of UK workers get less than the recommended eight hours of sleep per night.ADNFCR-2913-ID-19865914-ADNFCR
