Meet the Family
I grew up around Comfort Plus Products, spending my school summer holidays helping out. After officially joining over 15 years ago, I am now proud to serve as Managing Director of our family business.
I have a real drive for helping people in retirement not just feel comfortable but find purpose and independence. Listening to residents’ stories during our visits is one of my favourite parts of the job, as it helps me ensure every solution we offer is truly personal.
Outside of work, I focus on my own health and wellbeing, taking on endurance challenges like Ironman competitions and ultra-marathons – proof that staying active and purposeful is for every stage of life.
25 years ago, I was asked to join my father and brother in their new company, and I relished the prospect of being part of such an exciting enterprise. I had worked in customer service for many years and therefore asked to manage this area of the business. During my time here, I have seen the business expand, but I have always been committed to the highest customer service, making sure this is a priority for the whole team.
In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, many of whom I work alongside me, including my son Jamie, my son-in-law Tony Williams, and my grandson Jordan. I enjoy travelling and cycling, having completed the London to Paris cycle ride.
A word from our founder.
I co-founded Comfort Plus Products, along with my father, in the year 2000. Back then, our vision was a simple one. To provide the best products we could to enrich the lives of the over 65’s and to make retirement living a more pleasurable experience.
Now 25 years on, it gives me a great sense of satisfaction to know that we have delivered on that promise to over 50,000 uk retirees.
Time has certainly moved fast since the turn of the century and now the next generation of family are picking up the reins to steer the company forward, however our vision will not change. With product technology moving at a pace, we believe we now have the best product and service offering available, to deliver on our promise to make retirement living a more fulfilling experience.

Thirteen years ago, our Co-Founder Brendan Deering invited me to join Comfort Plus, believing my personality and positive outlook would help create the unique Comfort Plus Experience in retirement homes. I was grateful for the opportunity, having already admired the company’s heartfelt mission to enhance the lives of those in their retirement years.
Over the years, I have developed a deep understanding of what truly matters to people at this stage of life and have proudly helped nearly 4,000 customers find products tailored to their needs – improving comfort and often prolonging independence.
Outside of work, I love a challenge and have completed charity events including London to Brighton, Buckingham Palace to Windsor bike rides, and the Three Peaks Challenge. Life at home is equally busy and fun with my partner, our four grown-up children, grandson, and miniature dachshund – the real boss of the family!
I joined Comfort Plus Products in April 2023, initially as maternity cover, before becoming a permanent member of the team. For the last 8 months, I have managed the Internal Sales department, supporting both company growth and team development. In my HR role, I have introduced new processes and guided colleagues through change management, ensuring people feel supported.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter, travelling to Italy and Germany to visit family, as well as exercising, reading, and watching TV series.
Rachel has been leading customer service at Comfort Plus for the past three years, where she ensures every customer interaction reflects the company’s commitment to care, comfort, and quality.
During her time with the business, Rachel has successfully improved customer satisfaction scores by 25% and built efficient service processes that put people first. She’s also led initiatives that enhanced first-call resolution rates, helping the team deliver faster and more effective support.
Outside of work, Rachel is a self-proclaimed music enthusiast who tries to attend local open-air concerts as often as possible. She also enjoys hiking on weekends and is known among colleagues for her quick wit.
I began my journey with Comfort Plus Products in 2008 as a Sales Assistant, where I gained valuable insight into our customers’ needs and the solutions that truly make a difference in their daily lives.
Today, as Head of Operations, I oversee the full spectrum of our operational functions from manufacturing and innovative product development to delivery calendars and streamlined digital sales processes. My role is to ensure that every step of our operations reflects the quality, reliability, and care that our customers deserve.
With a focus on continuous improvement and innovation, my goal is to make sure our operations not only support but also elevate the lives of those we serve.
I joined the Comfort Plus family in January 2025 with a background as a Chartered Marketer for over 25 years. I had my own award winning marketing company, working with over 250 brands, so I was excited for this new challenge to work within the company, to help spread the word about these incredibly comfortable products!
In my free time, I enjoy riding my horses with my children and exploring different parts of the UK. As a black belt, I have also enjoyed Karate and kick boxing to stay fit and focused.
Having married into the family business, I have worked in all areas until taking over as Managing Director in 2014.
Coming from a technology background, I am now Head of IT, am focus on the enhancement of our systems and order processes to ensure we continue to lead the market.
With 3 young children my time for leisure is very limited, however, I do enjoy running and have completed several marathons with most of my training coming from chasing my children around!
